A complementary colour scheme consists of two colours that are opposite one another on the colour wheel. Although this colour scheme is very bold, some beautiful combinations can be created if the colours are used wisely.

Since the colours are warm and cold – it is important to balance the use of these colours harmoniously. Decide on making one of the colours the dominant one, and then use the other as an accent. Never use both colours in equal parts. It is also important to dilute the colour palette with neutral colours such as white/cream/grey.
